I would rather

I'm totally in trouble. I didn't post yesterday. I was busy, okay? We melted a spatula and I had things to do. Okay?

Really, I had Battlestar Galactica to watch.

This week's question comes down to one detail for me. If my husband could come with me to live in the middle of no-where, well, that's actually what we want. It doesn't even have to be a mansion. But if he can't come, I'm all about tiny apt with 10 friends, as long as he's one of them.

Would you rather have a mansion in the middle of nowhere or an apartment with 10 friends?

I would rather

This is my answer to yesterday's post, if you haven't seen it , look down. This week's would you rather was: Would you rather be 7'9" or 4'1"?

I think I'd go for 7'9" because then at least I could reach everything out in public places. Sure, some places would be a tight squeeze, but I think most places you could go. I'd thing the health issues involved with either end of the height spectrum are probably equally severe.

I do wonder if I could fit into movie theater seats, which if I were 4'1", wouldn't be a problem. I couldn't go on amusement park rides with either height, and driving is car is complicated either way too.

But, do really tall people have a convention? I've watched "Little People Big World", and I've seen what huge community they have. That would be nice. But, and this is shallow, we tend to admire really tall people, and degrade short people. So, my shallow decision is to be super tall.

I know it’s been a while, but I liked this so HA!

Would you rather be mechanically induced to scream at the top of your lungs for an hour, or have your eyes glued shut for a day?

I would have to choose the eyes glued shut one. There is, in this question, no caveat on what you would have to do during that day or hour. I think having my eyes glued shut for a day could be restful. It also seems that there would be no ill affects from having my eyes glued shut, whereas if I screamed for an hour, I would hurt a lot for a long time afterwards.

Would you rather, in a fight be armed with only a ping pong paddle or a wiffle bat?

I think, in this situation, that I'd want the bat. Fact is that with the ping pong paddle, they'd have to get pretty close to me before I cold hit them. With the wiffle bat, at least I could strike ineffectively at a distance. Also maybe poke my opponent.

So, I completely forgot!

Would you rather disappear, and no one could see you, but you could see them, or have the 2 people you love most disappear but you remain?

Okay, I know this one is kinda sad, but I was reading about the bees, and thinking about disappearing things. I think I'd rather disappear and be able to see them, but how painful would it be to see them missing me. At least I hope they would. My official vote on the situation would be for no-one to disappear, but that wasn't a choice.

Have a beautiful house and ugly car or an ugly house and beautiful car?

I thought this one was pretty appropriate considering the mortgage crisis and the way the economy looks lately. I guess I'd rather have a beautiful house, because that's where I have to live. Plus, if I had a beautiful house, it would have a garage and I could hide an ugly car. Right now I have a cute car and a cute house, but we are renting, and it is, I have to say, small. Jason and I would like to buy someday, but the news make me nervous. What do you guys think?

Would You Rather lie motionless on your back while a fruit bat licks fruit jelly off your face, or while a vulture eats road kill off your stomach?

I would have to go with the fruit bat on this one. I know they have teeth but vultures look so violent when they eat, and fruit jelly is sticky, but road kill is dead. I think a small furry bat would be better than a big pointy vulture. What do you guys think? Let me know!!!!!!

Woud You Rather Weekend

Would you rather have to kill Winnie the Pooh or Bambi?

So, if I had to kill a Disney character, these two probably wouldn't be my first choices. It would probably be whoever decided that making endless sequels was a good idea. But, if I had to choose one of these two, it would be Pooh. I'm sorry bear, you were cool in the beginning, but since I've seen you on 5 billion walmart sweatshirts, I've grown weary of you. You are over-marketed. So, bang. Plus, Bambi has big antlers and sharp hooves, and you are the wimpiest bear ever. I wonder what bear meat tastes like? We just had some AWESOME pork chops (oops, Babe isn't Disney).

It's a new feature! HOLEY BAZOLEY! Every weekend, I'll post (and answer) a "would you rather" situation. Your job, dear reader, is to do the same. So! The inaugural would you rather weekend comes from a book I bought:

Would you rather eat a cactus or a handful of pebbles?

First, I assumed that the cactus was the same size as the handful of pebbles. Even if it was bigger, I think, I'd still go with the cactus. Because, I could chew up each of the spines on their own and so maybe it wouldn't poke me as much. Plus, cactus is an actual edible thing, whereas pebbles, unless you are a chicken, aren't. Yum cactus. So, what would you rather?
