Hey newlywed bloggers!

I read quite a few blogs from newly-or kinda newlywed, or just weds, and last night I had a moment. I guess I have quite a few of those, but this kind of moment has only happened in the last 11 months or so. Here it is:

Last night, Jason refilled the washer fluid in my car, and filled his too! When he came in and told me, I had this moment. I don't know how else to describe this moment other than it felt like "marriage". It's a dumb, small thing, filling washer fluid. But it's the kind of mundane, every day caring thing that makes me happy. I've had that moment other, more traditional times, like when I'm introduced as his wife, or making dinner. However, they happen more often when I least expect it, like the washer fluid.

It's a completely wonderful feeling. It's like realizing your dream has come true, or it's finally real. There's an excitement to it, like the rest of your life opening up before you, and realizing that you're going to spend it with this amazing person.

So, here's what I'm asking you out there: Do you have these wonderful moments? When? Tell me all about it!

Oh, yes, I sure do have those moments! So many in fact. When I was in the hospital and my huband was by my side through it all, it really hit me, "Whoa. He's my husband! And he really meant it when he promised to be there for me no matter what."

And then there are little moments, like waking up to him lying there next to me in bed, sprawled out, mouth open, snoring, but finding him cute instead of getting annoyed, and I realize, "I really am married."

Even simplier moments when I look at him, and he's not looking at me, and it hits me that all my fantasies about being married someday and what he'd be like and so forth, that he's really here, the real deal, that's my HUSBAND right in front of me. Not some cute guy, some crush, not just a boyfriend, but my actual husband. It's pretty mind blowing! But in a wonderful way :-)

So when did you two get married? I gathered 2008. Excited to hit the one year mark?

That's so sweet. :) It sounds like he takes good care of you.

My husband is wonderful. We've been married for 8 months and he's always so good to me. He's totally a handy man, so he takes care of all kinds of things that I would never think of. :)

I've definitely had those - I love with my husband calls me his "wife." Just now getting used to it after a year and a half of marriage!

Almost 7 years later, I still get that. :) I see it most when he plays with our kids. He's such a good daddy, and I get a little giddy when he gets the kids laughing. :)

Being a newlywed is great. And even though my husband may not bring me flowers, he'll do the dishes even though it was my turn, or clean the bathroom, etc.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I will be back!

I have these moments all the time! Ken does the dishes, helps with laundry, and surprises me with random things all the time!
